Wooden Kapala with stand
This Kapala is hand carved out of wood in Nepal. The Kapala is traditionally used in rituals by the Tibetan Buddhist and Shamanistic traditions of the Himalayas. The use of skulls reminds us of impermanence of life, to live to the fullest in the present moment and not get caught up in petty concerns of life. It teaches us that this moment is all that we will ever have, and not to dwell in the past or future.
