Wooden Garuda Mask
Garuda is a very important mythological creature all throughout Southeastern Asia and is highly regarded by both the Buddhist and Hindu cultures. Garuda is half human and half eagle, being seen as wise and immensely powerful, so he is often invoked as a protector. Because of his vast size and speed, Garuda is seen as a forceful warrior. The snakes that he is devouring symbolize the poisons of humanity such as jealousy and greed.
